The Project Engineer will be responsible for projects that will vary in size and scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years Project Management experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to fully utilize all MS Office Products, ACAD/Solid works software, and MS Project.
  • Industrial Maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sound HSE practices and maintain significant contractor management controls throughout the duration of projects.
  • Design and develop machinery specifications and construction specifications with safety of current and future employees as the focal point of design criteria.
  • Ensure that critical HSE systems are in place before new assets are turned over to operations.
  • All new projects must strictly adhere to Hydro’s New Equipment HSE start-up procedures before assets are activated and turned over to operations.
  • Analyze available technology, production needs and existing resources to determine project feasibility.
  • Ensure that the new asset specifications are fully and correctly defined and documented.
  • Coordinate and direct teams to complete projects, including documentation and integration of technical components.
