The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate design activities in partnership with the Senior Director of Construction and executive leadership. This role involves collaborating with Project Development and estimating teams on design, engineering, scope definition, constructability, and budget support. The Project Engineer will also assist with project handoff to field teams by clearly communicating engineering requirements, design intent, outstanding issues, and consultant deliverables. This position requires managing and coordinating outside consultants, including architects, engineers, surveyors, and other specialty design partners, and reviewing their deliverables for completeness, accuracy, coordination, and alignment with project goals. The role supports preliminary layouts, conceptual designs, and design reviews using CAD or related design tools, and tracks engineering milestones, design schedules, deliverables, and open action items to support timely project execution. Identifying design conflicts, technical issues, and project risks early and coordinating resolution with internal and external stakeholders is crucial. The Project Engineer will also support pre-award project scheduling, design planning, and engineering input for project proposals and budgets, and maintain clear project documentation while communicating project status, risks, and required decisions to leadership and project teams. The role involves regular coordination with leadership, project development, estimating, consultants, and field teams, balancing office-based design coordination with project-site needs and supporting projects through early development, engineering, pre-award planning, and handoff to construction teams.
