We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support and contribute to the successful execution of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and a solid understanding of capital project execution. As a Project Engineer at Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., the selected individual will assist in planning, scheduling, forecasting, and coordinating technical activities for engineering projects. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to various aspects of project development and execution in support of broader business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or relevant field required.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in project management or project engineering preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and excellent interpersonal skills to quickly build relationships and facilitate involvement of others to deliver solutions.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated high energy level, motivation, and the drive required to proactively lead engineering projects within a dynamic business environment.
  • Has a willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and Excel.
  • MS Project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and execute engineering projects that lead directly to the profitable growth of Kalmbach Feeds.
  • Develop and manage project budget and schedules.
  • Develop scope, create layout and proposal drawings, and develop reports as necessary
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications.
  • Analyze supplier and contractor proposals/direct and manage suppliers and contractors.
