As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for executing capital projects and performing various engineering support for capital projects in a unionized plant that produces xanthan and gellan gum. Project engineering efforts include identifying and implementing process improvements which result in higher throughput, improved efficiencies, recognizable cost savings and more consistent product quality. You will be responsible for all facets of scope development, AR development and submittal, detailed project design, and construction supervision. Typically assigned responsibility for approved projects of approximately $25,000 to $3million + in value, which may be portions of major installations, and is expected to maintain control over several projects simultaneously. All employees are responsible for: Compliance with procedures that implement the requirements of the EHSQ policies and procedures Being responsible for their own actions Carrying out their work in a manner which does not present a risk to themselves, others, and the environment Reporting all incidents, defects, hazards, and inadequacies of procedures so that appropriate review and corrective action can be taken. Suggesting improvements and being active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure EHSQ supports activities and services are carried out in a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and cost-effective manner.
