About The Position

We are seeking a Project Engineer with expertise in Steel for a project exceeding 1 billion dollars. The role involves significant project experience, particularly with projects over 100 million dollars. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridges, vertical construction, or other steel structures. Responsibilities include interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, and owners to resolve design, procurement, and constructability issues, coordinating drawings to ensure an erectable structure, and developing 'means and methods' processes with engineers. Financial acumen is also required, including accurately realizing 'to-date' and 'final' project costs. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills are essential.

Requirements

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from accredited institution
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in structural steel erection, heavy civil construction, bridge, vertical construction, or other steel structures
Project experience over 100M
Recent Large GC experience
8 Years Structural Steel Projects over 100M
Proficiency with MS Office products (Word/Excel)
Excellent written and verbal skills

Responsibilities

Actively interfacing with fabricators, subcontractors, & owners to resolve design issues, procurement issues, and constructability issues
Coordination of contract drawings, design drawings, and shop drawings to facilitate an erectable final structure
Actively interface with design engineers & construction engineers to develop thorough "means & methods" process
Accurately realize "to-date" costs and project "final" costs thru completion
