About The Position

This role involves providing project engineering, equipment design, and construction management for capital projects. This includes managing capital projects ranging from small, replacement in kind maintenance projects to larger, Business Unit approved improvement projects as part of the site's overall growing capital budget. Responsibilities include project submittal, procurement of services and materials, installation, and implementation while maintaining code requirements, budget, and desired time constraints. Managing contractors and outside consultants is a requirement. The position also involves engineering design, project evaluation support, and equipment specification, as well as managing existing programs and implementing new programs to ensure environmental, operational, and compliance needs are met. Support for Process Safety Management programs, including mechanical integrity, process safety information, and piping and instrument diagrams, is also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience for Project Engineer OR 10+ years of experience for Sr. Project Engineer - preferably in chemical manufacturing or similar industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management
  • Equipment/system design skills
  • Code and regulatory knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
