About The Position

We are currently seeking a Project Engineer Intern with a passion for heavy civil construction to join our team. Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university and taking at least one class during the semester prior to the internship.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions and construction materials.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

Responsibilities

Support the project management team by coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, tracking materials, and managing essential project files.
Assist in document control, including handling submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reporting.
Perform construction quantity estimates and contribute to project cost control.
Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data gathering to ensure project accuracy.
Follow safety guidelines and help maintain a safe work environment in all project phases.
Assist in field survey tasks, including setting control lines and working with field engineers on construction layouts.
Participate in weekly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and field observations.
Assist the Project Manager with administrative project tasks such as preparing and organizing project documentation and handling project correspondence.
Assist in project scheduling and contribute to identifying critical paths and major milestones.
Support in maintaining SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan) reports and other project-related documentation.
Assist in the preparation of material quantity takeoffs using drawings and specifications
