About The Position

The Raymond Group is seeking applicants for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in its Orange office. This is a full-time, fully paid, 10-week position running from late May to mid-August 2027. The program offers real responsibility, dedicated mentorship, and unmatched experience. Interns will be placed in roles matching their career interests, such as project management or estimating, and will work either in the office, on job sites, or a combination of both. They will work directly with a team and have a personal 1-to-1 mentor. The internship concludes with a final professional review with the Executive and Operations Team.

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent degree (GPA of 2.5 or higher) OR possess at least two (2) years of construction field experience.
  • A strong enthusiasm for learning the business and a team-first attitude ready to work alongside any group.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working on a commercial construction site.
  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour training or equivalent safety programs.
  • The ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in contract reviews, processing submittals, managing RFI logs, and assisting with purchase orders and change orders.
  • Contributing to initial project take-offs and compiling final project close-out documentation.
  • Assisting in tracking and maintaining master schedules to ensure cost, safety, and quality benchmarks are met.
  • Attending internal operational and departmental meetings to observe decision-making processes.
  • Visiting active project construction sites to observe specialty craftsmanship and planning execution.
  • Reviewing active project sites to observe safety standards and conduct quality-control inspections.
