About The Position

The Project Engineer III or Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading technical planning and engineering support for complex and high-risk crane, rigging, and steel erection projects. This role ensures that work is engineered, planned, and executed with precision, with a strong focus on risk mitigation, safety, and operational alignment. This position plays a critical role in bridging engineering and field execution, providing technical leadership and driving disciplined project planning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license or strong progress toward licensure preferred
7+ years of relevant construction or engineering experience
Demonstrated experience supporting complex construction or heavy lift operations
Advanced ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with lift planning, rigging, or heavy construction operations preferred
Ability to travel to jobsites as needed
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license or strong progress toward licensure
Experience with lift planning, rigging, or heavy construction operations

Responsibilities

Lead development and review of engineered lift plans and execution strategies
Evaluate complex project requirements, constraints, and risk factors
Provide technical direction and support to Project Engineers and Operations teams
Ensure alignment between engineering plans and field execution through active engagement
Support planning and execution of critical and high-risk operations
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks
Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety standards
