About The Position

Pratt Miller is a product development company in motorsports, defense, and mobility industries providing clients with product engineering and low-volume production solutions. Our range of research & development, engineering, prototype manufacturing, test & validation, and low-rate production capability help our customers bring their high-quality products to market faster. The Project Engineer III is in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. Duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project. You will manage the planning and processes of a project and delegate responsibilities to appropriate team members and sub-teams to ensure the project is completed efficiently and successfully. Day-to-day duties and responsibilities may vary depending on project team construct.

Requirements

BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 6 years post-graduation employment experience.
Basic understanding of engineering program processes.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in MATLAB and/or other relevant surfacing-capable CAD software.
Basic understanding of CAD mechanical design software (e.g. - Creo, NX, CATIA).
Experience with vehicle-based protype manufacturing environments (Motorsports, Defense, or Automotive).

Responsibilities

Conduct regular meetings with team leads, stakeholders, and clients to ensure program and project requirements are met on schedule.
Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience, and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.
Maintain budgets as necessary and adjust according to needs as they arise.
Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals to meet contract requirements.
Document and report project progress to team leads, stakeholders, and clients.
