About The Position

Pratt Miller is a product development company in motorsports, defense, and mobility industries providing clients with product engineering and low-volume production solutions. Our range of research & development, engineering, prototype manufacturing, test & validation, and low-rate production capability help our customers bring their high-quality products to market faster. The Project Engineer III is in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule. Duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project. You will manage the planning and processes of a project and delegate responsibilities to appropriate team members and sub-teams to ensure the project is completed efficiently and successfully. Day-to-day duties and responsibilities may vary depending on project team construct.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years post-graduation employment experience.
  • Basic understanding of engineering program processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MATLAB and/or other relevant surfacing-capable CAD software.
  • Basic understanding of CAD mechanical design software (e.g. - Creo, NX, CATIA).
  • Experience with vehicle-based protype manufacturing environments (Motorsports, Defense, or Automotive).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular meetings with team leads, stakeholders, and clients to ensure program and project requirements are met on schedule.
  • Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience, and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.
  • Maintain budgets as necessary and adjust according to needs as they arise.
  • Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals to meet contract requirements.
  • Document and report project progress to team leads, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Work collaboratively with others.
