About The Position

Williams is seeking a Project Engineer III/Sr - Facilities to join their team. This role involves conducting technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industry and operational requirements, take initiative, anticipate customer needs, and possess confidence in presentation-making and leadership abilities. The Facilities Project Engineer will lead early project development and technical execution for capital projects, ensuring cost-effective, operable designs aligned with business needs. This includes defining project scope, leading front-end development, providing technical oversight, and serving as a key interface across various departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
  • PE Certification
  • Project Management experience

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and lead front-end development
  • Provide technical oversight through design, construction, and startup
  • Serve as key interface across Operations, Engineering, PMs, and Construction
  • Support bids, resolve field issues, assist commissioning/startup
  • Drive early cost discipline and optimize performance/reliability
  • Translate operational needs into practical designs
  • Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
  • May supervise the work of others
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects
  • Prepares and delivers presentations
  • Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services
  • Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
  • Champions processes, procedures and safety standards
  • Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects
  • Other duties as assigned
