About The Position

As a Project Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing project plans to ensure continued support of the commercial wheel and brake portfolio. The Commercial Project Engineering group is responsible for supporting the commercial wheel and brake portfolio through the full life cycle of the aircraft. Beginning with design and development, through production support, and in-service sustainment, the commercial project engineering team is the main point of contact for coordination with the OE customer.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

Manage the planning, execution and tracking/reporting of engineering activities including project budgets related to commercial W&B products in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer timelines.
Support the Commercial project engineering team in the product development process
Coordinate and drive assigned engineering tasks and actions to closure in a timely fashion while providing updates to the wider organization.
Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive the mitigations to closure with assistance the supporting technical team.
Lead product cost optimization activities across the W&B portfolio with the objective of long term competitive products
