About The Position

The Project Engineer I supports the planning and execution of crane, rigging, and steel erection projects while developing technical, operational, and field capability. This role is expected to actively learn the business, build field awareness, and contribute to project execution with increasing responsibility. This is not a desk-only role. Success requires engagement with field operations, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, or related field) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability and willingness to obtain
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, internships, or field exposure preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and coordination of crane, rigging, and steel erection work
  • Assist in development of lift plans, work plans, and execution strategies
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to build technical accuracy
  • Participate in jobsite visits to understand field conditions, sequencing, and constraints
  • Support field teams by tracking issues, coordinating information, and ensuring alignment
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and tracking tools
  • Participate in pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, and safety discussions
