About The Position

The Project Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to the following: Participate in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules and ensure smooth project operations. Prepare and present status and technical content to IPT. Gathers data to monitor project progress in terms of cost, schedule, and technical specification to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved. Supports engineering change execution and sustainment. Maintains plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure established targets are met. Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation plan as needed. Responsible for project assignments with various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives. Support military budget EVMS activities. This position is part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.
  • Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
