We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer, Hygienics (Mechanical Construction) to join our large-project MCaP division. The Project Engineer, Hygienics is responsible for key aspects of the project, related to setup, planning, progress and documentation for validated systems.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, flow diagrams, and P&ID drawings.
  • Working knowledge of construction systems including plumbing, HVAC, and process piping.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Bluebeam and Adobe required.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and teamwork mindset.
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders including clients, contractors, and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD experience (isometrics, as-builts) preferred.
  • Database experience (Access/SQL) a plus.
  • Familiarity with hygienic, pharmaceutical, or process systems preferred.
  • General understanding of MEP construction practices and terminology.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience in commercial plumbing, HVAC, or process piping projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
  • Assist in cost proposal development by reviewing contract revisions and project scope changes.
  • Participate in progress and construction meetings, documenting key updates and action items.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, vendors, and field teams to maintain project alignment.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, and product data to ensure compliance and constructability.
  • Prepare, submit, and track RFIs, submittents, and material approvals through project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment, material, and inventory logs.
  • Compile and organize project closeout and hygienic turnover documentation.
  • Assist in vendor sourcing, obtaining material quotes, and releasing purchase orders as directed.
  • Monitor material delivery status and track inventory changes to support project schedules.
  • Collaborate with field teams to track installation progress, including weld counts and completed work.
  • Support as-built documentation and field markups for accurate project records.
  • Assist in resolving constructability issues by interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to project managers and hygienic systems teams as needed.
