About The Position

Balfour Beatty is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer Field for its education/municipal team in Dallas, Texas. The position assists the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with planning and daily execution of construction projects. The Project Engineer Field maintains assigned aspects of project schedules by managing submittal approvals, coordinating timely material delivery, and maintaining schedules and budgets. The role supports completion of projects with quality and profitability while complying with the company’s Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree; Construction Management degrees are preferred.
One six-month intern co-op with a construction company.
Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, including email, the internet, and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of previous working experience.
Experience with RFIs.
Experience with change orders.
Experience with submittals.
Experience with punch lists.
Experience assisting with subcontractor meeting minutes.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with project planning and daily execution.
Maintain assigned aspects of project schedules.
Manage the process of submittal approvals.
Coordinate timely delivery of materials.
Maintain project schedules and budgets.
Support project completion with quality and profitability while complying with the Safety/Zero Harm culture.
Support project financial responsibilities.
Support preconstruction services.
Support project start-up and scheduling.
Support project administration, coordination, and close-out.
Promote customer relations.
Promote culture, leadership, and employee development.
