About The Position

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Project Engineer Field for its education/municipal team in Dallas, TX. This entry-level position assists the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with planning and the daily execution of construction projects. The role is responsible for maintaining assigned aspects of the project schedule by managing submittal approvals, coordinating timely material delivery, and maintaining schedules and budgets. The goal is to complete projects with quality and profitability while complying with the company’s Safety/Zero Harm culture.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree; Construction Management degrees are preferred.
One six-month internship or co-op with a construction company.
Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, including email, the internet, and Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of previous work experience.
Experience with RFIs, change orders, submittals, punch lists, and assisting with subcontractor meeting minutes.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer with planning and daily execution of construction projects.
Maintain assigned aspects of the project schedule.
Manage the process of submittal approvals.
Coordinate timely delivery of materials.
Maintain schedules and budgets to support project quality and profitability.
Comply with and promote the Safety/Zero Harm culture.
Support project financial responsibilities.
Support preconstruction services.
Support project start-up and scheduling.
Assist with project administration, coordination, and close-out.
Promote customer relations.
