Project Engineer - Electrical (Heavy Civil Construction)
About The Position
Skanska is seeking a dynamic Electrical Project Engineer to join their heavy civil infrastructure division in the Metro NYC area. The Project Engineer will be part of the Project Management Team, responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling, while ensuring the project is constructed safely, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws. The scope of responsibilities for the Project Engineer may vary based on the size and complexity of the projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of prior relevant experience working on electrical SOWs on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.
- Broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within the assigned discipline.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee projects to ensure a timely and cost-effective outcome.
- Manage budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of projects.
- Ensure projects are constructed in a safe, ethical manner and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
