Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 3 years of position related experience
  • Experience with electrical engineering design for industrial controls and panels
  • Able to interpret NEC and local codes
  • Familiar with PLC programming, graphic user interface programming, computer operating systems and networking
  • Familiar with instrumentation and process control
  • Familiar with Robotic cell designs
  • Familiar with Hazardous area classifications
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to understand project schedules
  • Good time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well independently and in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and detailing of industrial controls systems for both hardware and software
  • Generate design drawings, bill of equipment, PLC /controller code/graphic user interface code from examples and reference projects
  • Follow through designs to equipment fabrication, software code testing, and on-site startup/debug of all functions
  • Maintain transmittal records and document control
  • Interface with the customer to establish design goals
  • Specify equipment
  • Travel approximately 30%
