The role also introduces process modeling software such as AggFlow to analyze plant flow and crushing and screening efficiency. The intern shadows Project Engineers during plant audits and assists with reliability evaluations, critical spare asset needs, and continuous-improvement initiatives at Operations facilities. The intern prepares project status reports, technical documentation, and meeting minutes for cross-functional operations teams. With guidance from Project Engineers, the intern takes ownership of a defined small-scale project from initial scope through completion and learns basic project management practices, including schedule tracking, estimating material quantities, and communicating updates to operational leaders. Other engineering duties may be assigned to support quarry production and engineering goals. Travel varies based on projects, and the intern must be willing to travel.
