About The Position

Ryan Companies has an immediate need for a Project Engineer (Cost Management) for its Mission Critical operation in Atlanta, Georgia. The Project Engineer will assist the project team in the completion of designated projects with a cost management focus, and an emphasis on learning Ryan processes, procedures and business policies. This critical role will be primarily responsible to support the financial management of assigned projects, assisting the Cost Project Managers in budget management, change management, cost projections, and profit projections. Requirements

Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
A bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
Able to perform mathematical calculations, understand architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
Able to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.
Eligibility: Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring job costs.
Participate in the preparation of Potential Change Orders, review of subcontractor change requests, monitor and forecast General Conditions and General Requirements costs in coordination with the project team, review monthly pay applications and supporting documentation and support the overall cost management of the project.
Conduct project close-out duties, including subcontract and prime contract reconciliation.
Gain knowledge of overall construction processes.
Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on monthly pay application job walks.
Participate in owner/client presentations.
