About The Position

As a Cost Engineer at Linesight, you will work with experienced, culturally diverse teams and take responsibility for your role and career progression. The role involves cost management across projects, including estimating, reporting, change management, collaboration with clients and project teams, and financial close-out.

Frequent site visits to a Data Center site in West Texas are required, with overnight stays expected. Linesight will cover travel expenses to the site. Interviews are conducted in person or virtually, with video required.

Requirements

• A degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Attend key meetings and design reviews to monitor progress, collaborate on problem-solving, and communicate impacts to partners.
• Participate in site walks with the GC, Cost Manager, and client PM to assess progress and identify potential cost impacts.
• Consolidate data to prepare detailed estimates, ad hoc cost reports, and analyses.
• Maintain project change management logs with detail and accuracy.
• Partner with the extended Cost Management team to complete complex client tasks.
• Monitor financial close-out on projects, including settlement of all vendors.
