About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for project leadership and overall management of Automotive Technologies in damping, sealing, and reinforcing. This role involves driving activities to meet timing needs through managing DFMEA and DVR&R activity through launch, securing application design approval, and managing tooling budgets. The Project Engineer will also work with customer engineering and factory support to achieve results.

Requirements

Requires minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Engineering
1-3 years of application engineering or Program Management required preferably in the Automotive Industry
Japanese speaking and experience with the culture
PC proficiency including MS Office and project management software
Excellent analytical & quantitative skills as well as strong communication
Capable of creating strong internal & external relationships with customers, vendors, and contacts across business groups

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with plastic injection molding and tooling as well as part design is highly recommended
Experience working with Japanese OEM's

Responsibilities

Support Sika materials application strategy to meet customer requirements
Manage project timelines from award through 90 days post-launch
Ensure design reviews are complete and drawings are released in accordance with department procedures
Establish DVP&R's and DFMEA's and ensure design verification of parts including customer on-site validation
Manage engineering changes from quote approval by the customer to implementation at the manufacturing plant
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Supervisor
