(“SEL”) family of companies, seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Project Engineer – Automation position located at our Alpharetta, Georgia field office. Requirements

• Possess, understand, and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of power system automation and related company products (involving software, integration and automation, industrial controls, PLCs, relevant industry protocols—such as IEC-61850, DNP, and Modbus—Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and industry SCADA practices).
• Apply the principles of electrical engineering and computer science.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist customers with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation systems.
• Complete and implement assigned work within agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget to a high level of quality and safety.
• Participate in the preparation of functional design specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables.
• Provide support for other company marketing, sales, application engineering, and development activities.
• Continuously identify, measure, and improve company engineering processes.
