About The Position

Murrieta Valley Unified School District is seeking a Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support a Project Manager on the owner's side. Projects will encompass roofs, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, safety systems, and modernization across various campuses. The position requires managing requests for information, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, schedule updates, budget tracking, contractor payment applications, change order paperwork, inspection coordination, daily reports, punch lists, and closeout files. Construction often occurs during summer breaks or while children are present on campus, demanding efficient project management to meet deadlines.

  • Tracking budgets, processing contractor payment applications, and managing change order paperwork.
  • Coordinating inspections and associated forms, including those for the Division of the State Architect.
  • Maintaining daily reports, site photos, and the field record.
  • Managing punch lists, warranty documents, operating manuals, and the closeout file.
  • Overseeing multiple projects across several campuses simultaneously and tracking their status.
