  • Must obtain satisfactory pre-employment screening results, including a drug and breath alcohol test and a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
  • 10 or more years of project engineering experience focused on commercial infrastructure, civil works, or high-security or government-adjacent facilities.
  • Hands-on proficiency with ProjectSight or an equivalent project-management tool, Delta or an equivalent cost/financial-tracking tool, Aproove or an equivalent proofing/design-review tool, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional attention to detail regarding physical-layout compliance, document control, and communication under tight project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate security and infrastructure design interfaces, including MEP, structural, network architectures, and physical and electronic security subsystems.
  • Use Aproove or equivalent tools to manage collaborative proofing and review of security layouts, structures, communications, site work, construction drawings, schematics, and design iterations.
  • Conduct constructability reviews focused on high-security requirements, physical barriers, access-control layouts, and critical utility routing.
  • Develop engineering solutions that support infrastructure longevity and physical security while meeting project budgets and contract requirements.
  • Lead combined Project Engineer and Field Engineer functions and serve as the accountable engineering point of contact for assigned scope.
  • Integrate design work across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, network, security, and facility-system interfaces.
  • Coordinate engineering with designers of record, construction subcontractors, facility operations, safety, security, quality, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage engineering changes and technical resolution processes, including Field Change Requests, Design Revision Notices, Requests for Information, nonconformance dispositions, design clarifications, constructability reviews, and field-change evaluations.
  • Manage job-site technical document control, submittals, and RFIs using ProjectSight or equivalent tools.
  • Perform cost engineering and progress tracking using Delta or equivalent tools, evaluate subcontractor change orders, manage cost projections, and maintain commercial compliance.
  • Resolve complex field conflicts while ensuring infrastructure changes preserve security design intent.
  • Track scheduling milestones using Microsoft Office tools and optimize sequencing for high-security component handoffs and site testing.
  • Conduct routine field inspections and enforce quality-control metrics to verify installations meet structural specifications and security classifications.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on-site in infrastructure delivery and security compliance.
  • Evaluate design outputs and construction activities for code compliance, quality requirements, configuration management, safety interfaces, security impacts, and applicable engineering procedures.
  • Identify technical, schedule, construction, and interface risks; develop resolution paths; and elevate matters requiring management or stakeholder decisions.
  • Maintain project-level visibility of engineering deliverables, reviews, approvals, commitments, and critical-path actions.
