Rural Pathways is a new SAMHSA-funded initiative designed to expand access to evidence-based treatment, medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), recovery support services, and behavioral healthcare across northeastern Connecticut. The program utilizes innovative service delivery models, including CHR's Mobile Pathways Unit, outpatient clinics, and community partnerships, to reduce barriers related to transportation, geography, and provider shortages. Rural Pathways focuses on rapid access to care, overdose prevention, integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and long-term recovery support for individuals living in rural communities. This role will provide project management oversight of federal grant(s), including monitoring performance, ensuring operation within budget expectations, and ensuring compliance with contractual and funder expectations. The Project Director will develop detailed work plans consistent with grant goals, collaborate with internal and external teams, and facilitate workgroups. This position will track progress for assigned initiatives, analyze and present data, and summarize outcomes. The role also oversees quality improvement processes, ensures grant documentation compliance, and oversees recruitment, selection, hiring, and performance evaluation in collaboration with Human Resources. Participation in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other assigned meetings is also expected, along with additional duties as required.
