About The Position

A top ENR-ranked general contractor is seeking a Project Director to lead large-scale healthcare construction projects across Florida. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing complex projects from preconstruction through delivery while managing key client relationships and driving business growth. This role is ideal for a Florida-based healthcare construction leader who understands the nuances of building in active hospital environments and has deep relationships within the local market.

Requirements

• 15+ years of commercial construction experience with a strong focus on healthcare projects in Florida
• Proven experience leading large, complex hospital or healthcare builds
• Deep understanding of AHCA regulations, infection control, and occupied facility construction
• Strong client relationships within the Florida healthcare market
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Ability to lead both operations and business development efforts
• Must currently be based in Florida (relocation is not being considered)

Responsibilities

• Lead $100M+ healthcare project portfolios from pursuit through execution
• Serve as the primary client contact, building and maintaining long-term healthcare relationships
• Drive project execution, including financial performance, risk mitigation, scheduling, and quality
• Oversee preconstruction, planning, and delivery across multiple projects
• Mentor and develop project teams while building high-performing operations groups
• Contribute to business development efforts through a “doer-seller” mindset
