About The Position

Ci is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Designer to join our Boston office full-time. This role works closely with Ci’s Principals and leads the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from design through construction. The Project Designer will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing project schedules and budgets, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across multiple projects. This position requires strong leadership, the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and a solid understanding of construction documentation and administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, and internal teams while adapting to evolving project needs. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex projects and supporting the continued growth of our S&T practice.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
  • Strong design and presentation skills; capable of engaging with clients and consultants
  • Proficient in architectural design, material and systems detailing, and envelope systems design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to self-direct and work well under deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable producing construction documents for various project types.
  • Understanding of construction documentation, building systems, and coordination processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 3+ years of professional architectural experience.
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and technical design aspects of major project
  • Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions to meet client needs
  • Oversee design and planning studies, ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, and consultants
  • Produce and review comprehensive project specifications
  • Handle complex assignments requiring new or improved techniques and procedures
  • Offer technical guidance to less experienced architects
  • Stay updated with industry trends and integrate them into designs
  • Proven ability in reviewing and interpreting completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets
  • Offer technical guidance to less experienced architects
