About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: · Create and revise protection/control drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations and lines, including: o Single line, logic, three line and schematic diagrams. o Panel layouts, wiring diagrams and device developments. o Cable block diagrams and cable terminations. · Peer review of other’s drawings. · Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions. · Update drawings to field as-built conditions. · Provide project support/office support as required. · Occasional travel to field sites or working at a client’s office may be required.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years’ Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including: Electrical one-lines, schematics and wiring diagrams, Low voltage auxiliary power systems (AC and DC station power), Cable and conduit schedules, Protective Relay and Control Panel layouts and designs
  • Familiarity with microprocessor relays and associated options/functionality – SEL, GE, etc.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting
  • Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
  • AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required
  • Microsoft Word – Intermediate
  • Microsoft Excel – Intermediate
  • Microsoft Outlook – Intermediate
  • Ability to lift / move equipment up to 15 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required.
  • MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred
