About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: · Create and revise protection/control drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations and lines, including: o Single line, logic, three line and schematic diagrams. o Panel layouts, wiring diagrams and device developments. o Cable block diagrams and cable terminations. · Peer review of other’s drawings. · Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions. · Update drawings to field as-built conditions. · Provide project support/office support as required. · Occasional travel to field sites or working at a client’s office may be required.

Requirements

5+ Years’ Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including: Electrical one-lines, schematics and wiring diagrams, Low voltage auxiliary power systems (AC and DC station power), Cable and conduit schedules, Protective Relay and Control Panel layouts and designs
Familiarity with microprocessor relays and associated options/functionality – SEL, GE, etc.
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work well with others in a team setting
Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required
Microsoft Word – Intermediate
Microsoft Excel – Intermediate
Microsoft Outlook – Intermediate
Ability to lift / move equipment up to 15 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required.
MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred
