About The Position

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Project Design Engineer to join their Elevator Controls team at Vantage Elevation. The role involves a hands-on approach to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality elevator control solutions by translating customer requirements into engineered manufacturing designs. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field required, or demonstrated equivalent, relevant technical experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in control engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with electrical control systems and engineering documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and general computer literacy
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems; experience with 3-phase VFD motor control and Relay/PLC or DCS logic preferred
  • Experience with elevator controller systems engineering or equivalent systems/electrical control design experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative, cooperative interpersonal style

Nice To Haves

  • Elevator industry experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Creating engineered manufacturing packages that define controller design and configuration
  • Modifying pre-designed elevator control systems to meet customer-specific requirements, including electrical and voltage changes
  • Configuring systems in compliance with applicable electrical codes, elevator codes, and industry standards
  • Preparing schematic diagrams and technical documentation for production teams
  • Collaborating closely with customers, engineers, and production staff to ensure project requirements are met
  • Supporting quality assurance efforts related to design engineering outputs
  • Contributing to continuous product improvement initiatives
  • Adhering to established engineering standards, methods, and best practices
  • Participating in production floor training to gain hands-on understanding of how elevator control panels are built, wired, tested, and modified
