Position OverviewThe Project Cost Analyst – Intermediate is responsible for coordinating all project‑related timekeeping, craft and contractor pay runs, subcontractor invoice reconciliation, customer time‑tracking reconciliation, and cost and sell reports for nuclear stations. This role aligns with project demands and experiences periods of high demand during project execution phases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CSIS government security clearance.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, project accounting practices, and the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Knowledge of Canada/Ontario Labour Laws.
  • Experience working with customer site‑specific training processes and nuclear industry standards.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and eliminate manual processes/waste.
  • Expertise in: Microsoft Excel 2019+
  • Expertise in: Microsoft SharePoint 2013+

Nice To Haves

  • Valid security clearance for Bruce Power and Ontario Power Generation sites.
  • Degree or diploma in business administration.
  • Familiarity with EPSCA Collective Agreements and wage schedules.
  • Experience with Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate Payroll (Timberline).
  • Experience using Coreworx Oncore timekeeping software (OPG).
  • Experience using SAP for navigation and reconciliation.
  • Experience using SharePoint for project documentation storage.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project timekeeping processes, including weekly payroll exports and uploading data into Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate.
  • Review project contracts to ensure all invoicing, reporting, and cost‑related conditions are applied when establishing the project in BWXT’s project controls system.
  • Develop and maintain cost‑tracking systems and procedures.
  • Support onboarding by preparing hire‑on packages for craft, contract, and subcontract personnel, ensuring accurate documentation and data consistency.
  • Manage project WBS time charges and subcontractor invoices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create crew lists and pre‑populated timesheets for weekly distribution to site supervisors.
  • Input daily timekeeping data and document all exceptions from site notifications.
  • Train new supervision on daily time‑reporting expectations.
  • Ensure sell reports align with project contract terms and conditions.
  • Submit time data to customer time‑clock systems and prepare reconciliation reports for management approval.
  • Update time‑tracking systems with approved hours and synchronize final reconciled data with customer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with EPSCA collective agreements for all craft personnel.
  • Communicate daily with Site Supervisors, the Site Manager, and the Project Manager to monitor site progress and record delays.
  • Produce delay reports, labour reports, cost and sell reports, earned value running total reports, customer invoicing backup reports, and month‑end accruals.
  • Review all weekly hours and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll deadlines.
