We are seeking a Structural Steel Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of structural steel projects from award through completion. This role works closely with project managers, detailers, fabricators, and field teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and documentation is properly managed. Location: New York City, NY Work Arrangement: Full time position with a flexible remote/in office schedule and on-site visits as needed. Must live within driving distance of New York City.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of construction or project coordination experience (structural steel preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Tekla, or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong, organized and clear communication skills with all internal and external parties

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with coordination of structural steel projects
  • Gain a thorough understanding of shop drawings and engineering requirements for each assigned project
  • Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with detailers, fabricators, erectors, and general contractors
  • Monitor material procurement, fabrication, and delivery timelines
  • Support change orders, project reporting, and job cost tracking
  • Maintain clear communication between internal teams and project stakeholders
