About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Project Coordinator in Austin, Texas Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee field and construction activities, including managing construction coordinators and support staff as approved by AUS. Perform quality control (QC) checks on personal work and team deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support the Airport Project Manager (APM) in coordinating with other City of Austin (COA) departments (e.g., Capital Delivery, CPEAT, DSD, Finance). Assist APM, Project Managers (PM), and CDPM in change management and scope development processes. Act as liaison between contractors and internal AUS stakeholders (Maintenance, Operations, Security, etc.). Attend contractor progress meetings (OAC), punch walks, mock-up reviews, and other key project meetings. Verify contractor mobilization schedules and provide recommendations to APM for approval prior to issuing Notice to Proceed. Maintain detailed knowledge of project scheduling, including preparation, updates, and tracking of design reviews, procurement, and construction activities. Collaborate with Program/Project Managers and design teams to review plans for constructability and cost implications during pre-construction. Review and approve contractors’ QA/QC and logistics plans to ensure compliance with standards. Manage quality oversight of contractors’ work, confirming adherence to contractual requirements and standards. Review, adapt, and monitor construction safety programs to ensure compliance and safe work environments. Lead periodic construction meetings and additional sessions as needed to resolve issues impacting cost and schedule. Support review and negotiation of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) field costs, equipment, and General Conditions (GCs). Work with AUS Environmental Officer to monitor compliance with environmental requirements. Oversee construction monitoring and reporting to confirm contractor compliance with contract terms. Ensure site security and maintain a safe, respectful work environment by coordinating with ROCIP, AUS safety, and risk management teams. Provide input for monthly pay application reviews to assist APM and CDPM in finalizing billing. Review daily construction reports and weekly work plans to ensure schedule compliance and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or related work. Experience may substitute for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, airport safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
  • Technical Proficiency: Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, SharePoint, Primavera P6.
