About The Position

The Project Coordinator applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research, and procedural issues. The incumbent fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, evaluates alternatives, and makes recommendations. The Project Coordinator will assist Project Leaders and work under general supervision to support departmental and principal investigator research and community programs. This role utilizes organizational, communication, technical, coordination, and analytical skills to support multiple research programs, including The Kidney Project (TKP), Health Innovation via Engineering (HIVE), and the Master of Translational Medicine (MTM) program. Responsibilities include coordinating deliverables, supporting implementation activities, organizing meetings and events, and managing digital communications. The incumbent will manage day-to-day social and digital media channels, including websites, social media platforms, and email communications for The Kidney Project (TKP), Health Innovation via Engineering (HIVE), and the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences. The Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences reports to both the School of Medicine and the School of Pharmacy. Faculty conduct basic, translational, and clinical research in drug development, pharmacogenomics, therapeutic engineering, and computational biology. Research activities span laboratory, computational, systems analysis, engineering, and micro-fabrication approaches that support translational advances, clinical trials, and community engagement. The department also educates PharmD, MD, Master’s in Translational Medicine, and PhD students.
