About The Position

The Project Coordinator will join Dr. Karestan Koenen’s Population Mental Health Lab to support a newly launched, multi-site research initiative focused on trauma and autobiographical memories. Under the supervision of Dr. Koenen and Dr. Shaili Jha, the Project Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative and clinical support for study activities, including participant recruitment, interviews, data collection, coding, and analysis. The Coordinator will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, multi-site environment alongside researchers across the United States and Canada. This is a mentored position that will offer valuable research experience in clinical psychology and trauma research. It is ideal for recent graduates looking to build a career in clinical psychology, public health, or translational research.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism when working with participants

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and/or strong interest in a population mental health, trauma research, or clinical psychology
  • Prior experience with human subjects research, including consenting and interacting with participants is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in screening, recruiting, and consenting participants for the study
  • Schedule and coordinate study visits across multiple time points
  • Administer electronic surveys and memory assessments and assist the team with standard mental health interviews
  • Act as the primary point of contact for participants to answer questions and maintain participant engagement
  • Collect, clean, and organize behavioral and mental health survey data using electronic data capture software
  • Apply established protocols to code autobiographical memory narratives
  • Assist in maintaining study SOPs and generating data reports
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of IRB protocols, amendments, and continuing reviews
  • Ensure strict compliance with all guidelines protecting human subjects during recruitment and data collection
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain contact with multi-site team members
  • Conduct literature reviews, draft abstracts, design research posters, and assist with manuscript preparation to disseminate research results
  • Coordinate routine lab supplies and expenses
