About The Position

The Project Coordinator coordinates and procures mass-production and prototype raw materials for the wire harness business, balancing physical inventory and preventing production-line shutdowns. The role facilitates assigned program launches at all stages, follows new-model vehicles, and places prototype orders for trials and mass-production startups. It monitors and reduces budgeted days of inventory (DOI) and potential obsolescence, provides implementation dates for new components to support engineering changes and phase-outs, and prepares supplier phase-out letters. The coordinator works across internal departments—including Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Accounting, Business Planning, Design, Finished Goods, Customer Service Center, Production Control, plant materials staff and management, and Human Resources—and communicates with suppliers in support of Material Planners and Material Control. The role also liaises with OEM customers, program management, procurement, engineering, production planning, and material control; supports production phases from tool trials through mass production; and travels to manufacturing sites as needed. Some domestic and international travel is required.
