About The Position

BlueCity Construction is seeking a Project Site Coordinator to assist and support the Site Superintendent in the efficient management of site office duties. This temporary role, estimated for 18 months, involves managing budgets and project files, including report generation, project correspondence, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and meeting minutes. The coordinator will perform and coordinate various managerial and administrative tasks, such as maintaining project documentation, updating schedules, and handling financial queries. Excellent time management and communication skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to meet project timelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 required
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator on multifamily residential tower projects required
  • An ability to prepare and interpret schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Costing estimating and quantity takeoff
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and organized and taking initiatives to make improvements
  • Ability to collaborate with the team
  • Strong computer skills and experience having worked with multiple platforms and operating systems including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail etc) and MS Project

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Real Estate, Construction industry in a similar role an asset
  • Experience with Procore Project Management platform strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Superintendent with overall project management
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with sub-trades, suppliers, consultants, and the BLDG department
  • Managing the change order process, including pricing, negotiating, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact
  • Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information
  • Monitoring project progress and handling any issues that arise
  • Administering the RFI and shop drawing process
  • Maintaining contractual responsibilities with subcontractors
  • Involvement in all facets of project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work
  • Oversight of health & safety standards
  • Assisting the Project Manager with overall project management
