About The Position

The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that schedules are kept, change orders are written, and requests for information are documented. The Project Coordinator works directly under the Project Manager and is responsible for helping ensure the project is successful.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience with steel erection or industrial millwright.
  • Familiar with AISC and building code requirements.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Familiar with systems both manual and electronic.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Mathematically and computer literate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project/Primavera P6.
  • The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain an authorization to proceed document for approval and payment.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing Requests for Information questions.
  • Review schedule to track progress.
  • Review time sheets to ensure hours are charged to the correct phase codes.
  • Requisition the material needed to support the schedule of erection.
  • Track progress of work and update weekly progress reports.
