About The Position

This role is a full-time, on-site position at a BAE Systems facility, requiring 100% of the work to be conducted on location. The company works on advanced electronics for aerospace and defense. The Project Coordinator will support multiple engineering teams by providing administrative, documentation, and process support to ensure seamless project execution. Typical assignments include non-technical documentation, parts ordering, general inquiry and problem-solving, application/tool support, and coordination of program tasks. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional passionate about supporting fast-paced teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years work experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with customer service or support.
  • Experience reading BOMs.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).

Responsibilities

  • Edit and format engineering documentation.
  • Interface with technicians, engineers, and engineering managers to create/edit documentation.
  • Verify change requests are in the proper state and implemented into documentation.
  • Provide tools expertise and support to Engineering, including MS Office Apps, requirements capture databases, change management and tracking tools.
  • Generate reports as required.
  • Order and track parts.
  • Support preparation of presentations.
  • Assist in the collection of metrics and prepare presentation materials for analysis.
  • Assist Project Engineers with various project management tasks.
  • Assist in tracking action items, risk management tools, and tasks in change management tools.
  • Support the Bid & Proposal process, assisting in bid narratives and bid reviews.
  • Administer the engineering change management process, including facilitating stakeholder reviews.
  • Assist in managing classified laboratory needs, including secure data transfers.
  • Act as primary focal and liaison for program support across engineering and other departments.
  • Network with internal and external personnel at multiple levels in the area of expertise.
  • Work on moderately difficult assignments given in terms of objectives and priorities, using judgment to resolve issues or make recommendations.
  • Assist Project Engineers in tracking and/or maintenance of program/project schedules, milestone performance, and financial metrics.
  • Assist Project Engineers in managing daily tasking via JIRA or other tools.
  • Coordinate the interaction of project/program teams and support functions to communicate schedule and status.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
  • Act as a facilitator and team leader.
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact on projects, coordinating support personnel activities and communicating effectively.
