About The Position

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is seeking Project Coordinators to support its various major projects within the Project Delivery Enterprise Team. This team is responsible for delivering some of the province's largest and most important public infrastructure projects, including new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses. IO's approach to project delivery has made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development. The Project Coordinators will support the delivery of projects using Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models, providing technical and commercial support from the initial stages through to construction and commissioning. They will also assist in developing risk mitigation measures, supporting negotiations for claims and scope changes, and managing stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • A few years of hands-on experience with major projects in an owner representative, design consultant, or construction management role.
  • Relevant experience or education in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture or related discipline.
  • Experience with project budgets, schedules and technical requirements.
  • Presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders is required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or in the process of acquiring is an asset.
  • Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on major projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery on major projects using various Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to the management of projects, from pre-transaction, Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stage through to construction and commissioning.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to commercial and contractual matters.
  • Support the negotiations of claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items.
  • Support the management of relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders.
