The Project Coordinator III supports the day-to-day operations of the Special Events, Services, and Resources core within the Texas Opioid Prevention for Students (TOPS) initiative. TOPS is a statewide, multitiered system of support (MTSS) funded by the Opioid Abatement Fund Council to prevent opioid misuse and overdose among K–12 students across Texas. Under general supervision of the Project Director, the Project Coordinator III supports the Project Manager III and the TOPS project team by coordinating and assisting with the completion of core project activities, including community implementation and outreach events, behavioral health service linkage and referral navigation support, and connecting students and families to opioid prevention resources and overdose education. This position benefits from familiarity with behavioral health systems and referral pathways but does not require clinical licensure.
