BC Ferries is initiating a significant Fleet Renewal program to address challenges related to system capacity, aging assets, and environmental sustainability. This program involves introducing new vessels and undertaking major upgrades to shore-based infrastructure and facilities, alongside an ambitious electrification initiative. These combined efforts represent the largest capital investment in the company's history. The Project Coordinator will support civil, marine, electrical, and building infrastructure projects by performing a wide range of project, administrative, and technical coordination activities. This includes assisting with planning, scheduling, and budgeting, organizing inspections, supporting design development and procurement, preparing tenders and contracts, and overseeing construction. The role provides professional support to project managers and department leadership, and may independently manage smaller projects under guidance. The projects are in active construction phases, and the Project Coordinator will play a key role in onsite construction and operational support, as well as asset management tasks for new terminal assets.
