About The Position

Current Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Coordinator to support the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of our Solar Department. This role is ideal for someone who can keep pace in a busy environment, follow projects through multiple stages, and step in wherever support is needed. You will work closely with the Project Coordinator, Project Managers, sales team, field technicians, customers, utilities, and local jurisdictions to help keep solar projects organized and moving forward.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative, project support, or coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and general office technology.
  • Ability to learn new systems and technical processes.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and willing to support the team wherever needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to attend occasional off-site trade shows and events.

Nice To Haves

  • Solar, electrical, construction, or renewable energy experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with Aurora, T-Sheets, ServiceTitan, or project-management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Coordinator and Project Managers with daily administrative and project-related tasks.
  • Create pre-job and post-job folders for solar projects.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including specification sheets, drawings, permits, and related records.
  • Update, complete, and close out project folders in Google Drive.
  • Prepare and submit Focus on Energy rebate documentation for commercial and residential projects.
  • Schedule disconnects, reconnects, final inspections, Diggers Hotline services, and private utility locates.
  • Track inspections, project requirements, and outstanding action items.
  • Perform weekly monitoring checks for Solar Service Plan members.
  • Build and maintain customer monitoring sites.
  • Assist field technicians with basic monitoring and system troubleshooting.
  • Provide pre-sale support using Aurora, including assisting with designs and proposals.
  • Complete biweekly T-Sheets administration and review.
  • Communicate with customers, team members, utilities, inspectors, and local jurisdictions as needed.
  • Attend and support company trade shows, farmers markets, and industry events throughout the year.
  • Complete one-off projects and assignments from the Project Coordinator and Project Managers.
  • Provide coverage for the Project Coordinator during planned or unplanned absences.
