This role is generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs, and/or estimating projects. The work will be performed under minimal supervision. Primary responsibilities include developing and analyzing schedules for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify potential conflicts between safety and schedule. The role involves developing, monitoring, and updating schedules by gathering information through meetings, construction coordination interviews, and field verification. A complete understanding of Earned Value and Project Productivity is required. The position also entails monitoring and maintaining the change notice/change order management system, assisting in change notice hearings and change committee meetings, and developing construction cost estimates, including those associated with change notices. Developing and maintaining the cost system, reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices, and producing cost reports are key duties. The role also involves developing, monitoring, and updating schedules, establishing a progressive system for projects, and assisting clients and teammates in developing construction and contract strategies for constructability, logistics, and safety. Assisting in quantity analysis for activity duration and estimating purposes is also part of the responsibilities.
