About The Position

The Project Controls Specialist works with Operations to support efficient and effective budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination processes. The role calls for strong problem-solving and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and consistent attention to deadlines. The position is based 100% on the jobsite in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Michels Power, Inc. is a power delivery contractor working across electrical infrastructure, including transmission lines, substations, distribution systems, Oil & Gas facilities, and renewable energy initiatives. The company also restores power following natural disasters and describes its work as supporting homes, businesses, and communities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting; 0–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
General knowledge of accounting and business operations.
Valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles that may be driven, with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to use data to drive process improvement.
Ability to work 100% on the jobsite.
Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and organizational skills.
