About The Position

LUZCO is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Project Controls professional to support scheduling and project coordination across a variety of electric utility projects. The role works closely with project managers to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules that support projects through design and construction, with exposure to multiple projects at once. The position involves developing and maintaining schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, managing schedule resources, checking project-controls deliverables, comparing schedule data with financial information, and integrating schedule data with project information in Microsoft Excel. The role also requires communicating with project teams about technical progress on electric utility, transmission line, substation, and telecommunications projects. Occasional travel is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field from an accredited program.
At least 3 years of experience supporting project schedules, including hands-on use of Oracle Primavera P6.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Comfort working with schedules, data, and multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting utility, transmission, substation, or telecommunications projects.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain project schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, typically ranging from 20 to 200 activities.
Collaborate with multiple project managers to support projects through design and construction phases.
Load and manage resources within project schedules.
Perform quality checks and support reviews related to project-controls deliverables.
Compare schedule data with financial information to help ensure alignment and consistency across project timelines.
Communicate with project teams to understand technical progress on electric utility, transmission line, substation, and telecommunications projects.
Integrate schedule data with other project information using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and other data tools.
