About The Position

C2O Group is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to support a major LNG facility project in Southern Louisiana. The Project Controls Lead will be responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, cost control, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis activities to ensure successful project execution. This role will work closely with project management, engineering, construction, commissioning, contractors, and client stakeholders to provide accurate project performance data and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. This position is contingent upon contract award, client approval, and final project authorization. Candidate screening and selection activities may occur prior to project award to support rapid mobilization upon notice to proceed. Employment offers, start dates, and project assignments are subject to successful project award and authorization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, or project management support within LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated project schedules and performance reporting systems.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, forecasting methodologies, earned value management (EVM), and project execution processes.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and controls software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary EPC project environments.

Nice To Haves

  • LNG project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting large-scale LNG, petrochemical, or energy infrastructure projects from engineering through commissioning and startup.
  • Knowledge of earned value management (EVM), quantitative risk analysis, and change management processes.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, EVP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining schedule, cost, quality, and reporting objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project controls activities, including planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and performance reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
  • Track project progress and productivity against approved baselines and identify schedule or cost variances.
  • Prepare and present project performance reports, forecasts, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support project budgeting, estimate validation, change management, and risk analysis processes.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, contractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure alignment of project objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate schedule reviews, progress meetings, risk assessments, and project performance evaluations.
  • Analyze project trends and recommend corrective actions to mitigate schedule delays, cost impacts, and execution risks.
  • Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, governance requirements, and client reporting standards.
  • Support implementation and administration of project controls systems, databases, and reporting tools.
