About The Position

ReNuke Services is seeking a Project Controls Cost & Scheduler I or II for our client's site in Raleigh, NC. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring 3 days/week in the office. Candidates must be local to Raleigh and not seeking relocation. Preference will be given to true project controls candidates over those with only translatable skills. The Project Controls Specialist II (PCS-II) is responsible for initiating and completing routine and complex aspects of project control assignments, including estimating, scheduling, change analysis, and cost control. As an essential member of the project team, the PCS-II supports 1 to 2 project managers on varying ranked projects. The role requires proficient use and understanding of project controls principles and associated software tools, with advanced acumen in these areas demonstrated through extensive experience or a combination of experience and higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Periodic Project Controls Analytics: Create periodic project analysis of gathered data through verification and validation to support project controls metrics. Responsible for distributing and archiving project controls analysis as appropriate.
  • Perform Change Control: Track, trend, and initiate action for changes to the project scope, schedule, and cost. Analyze change requests, gain approval, and distribute change requests in a manner compliant with internal governance, standards, and procedures. Comprehend necessary changes and apply appropriate rules established for change control associated with contract terms and conditions.
  • Project Controls Benchmarking and Self-Assessment Initiatives: Lead assigned benchmarking and self-assessment initiatives relevant to project controls functions. Summarize and communicate improvement opportunities, formulate adoption of Company and Industry best practices, and incorporate actions to address gaps in performance.
  • Expertise in Project Controls Methodologies: Aid Project Managers (PMs) in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) development, project schedules, cost estimates, track and trend cash flow reports, change control documentation (scope, cost, or schedule), and/or any reports associated with project controls. Track and report project status, perform variance, earned value, and critical path analyses at a level appropriate for the project.
  • Create and Maintain Project Estimate: Work with Estimator(s) to create or create project cost estimate to establish effective cost controls management. Assure that project estimate includes all necessary raw materials, resource / labor rates, manufactured materials / equipment, as well as current industry data relative to project scope. Manage the estimate according to PMCoE Estimating Standard and review cycle.
  • Effective Team Participation: Maintain effective relationships with customers, support the resolution of quality issues, and complete assignments (proposals, project tasks, reports, etc.) as negotiated. Display proficiency in conflict resolution and reaching win-win outcomes among team members.
