About The Position

ReNuke Services is seeking an entry-level Project Controls Cost Analyst for a client site in Lake Mary, Florida. This position handles routine project controls assignments under close supervision, with an expectation that the employee will develop skills and work with increasing independence. The analyst works with a team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers and partners with a more experienced Project Controls Analyst.

The role performs cost forecasting and reporting for a portfolio of projects with annual budgets ranging from $10,000 to $1 million. Responsibilities include comparing monthly actual costs with project baselines and identifying variances. The position typically supports “White” or “Green” projects under the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix. It requires working knowledge of Excel, basic project controls principles, problem-solving ability, and collaborative communication skills.

Requirements

• Graduation from a two-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, a technical field, or equivalent; alternatively, at least two years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls principles.
• Demonstrated to working knowledge of project management and project controls concepts and computer applications, such as scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of Excel.
• Good problem-solving, collaborative, and communication skills.
• Comfort speaking publicly, flexibility and ability to learn on the fly, teamwork, and honesty and integrity.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, a technical field, or equivalent.
• PMI or AACE certification, such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, or AACE-EVP.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, or PeopleSoft.
